After a still year under the waves, Sinking City 2 returned with a modern trailer and the official premiere of the Kickstarter campaign.
Exactly a year after the announcement, the modern Sinking City 2 trailer gives us our first look at the game in front of Alpha and the expected focusing on the Lovecraftian horror, with survival, and an investigation mixed in the fact that frogwares for programmers includes its characteristic style. The team also published Developer Deep Dive With a more detailed look at what the team plans to fight, explore and optional investigation.
In addition to these trailers, Frogwares introduced Kickstarter today to lend a hand you get the game at the finish. In the CEO statement, Wael Amr explained that Kickstarter’s financing was necessary because of the ongoing war in Ukraine:
After 3 years of this terrible war hanging over our everyday life, we learned to adapt, although it was never effortless. In 2023, when we released Sherlock Holmes awakened with the lend a hand of Kickstarter and our loving fans, we built a safety network that saved us more than once. From a break in the supply of electricity and the need to transfer team members in a low time, to the need to suspend development for many days, this safety net was crucial. Considering that Sinking City 2 is a much more convoluted and demanding game, we decided to follow the same path as before.
Frogwares ahead of years faced many challenges in his work on both the original city and now its continuation. In addition to the huge challenges related to developing games during the war, Frogwares was closed in the fight for the rights to the publishing over the first city of Sinking with the original publisher on PC Nacon, which caused that the game from some platforms in 2020. Fortunately, Frogwares won full rights to the publishing last year last year, and announced her disputes.
