Shenmue III is the latest game that has been polished to the current generation of consoles, which is PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and “Nintendo” – probably switch 2.
The improvements are quite compact, the game has never really pushed the Unreal Engine, and this time you get 4K textures and “improved graphics and performance”. They are not specified, but probably because they do not want to speak 4K 60FP when Switch 2 may not manage it.
You also get faster charging times, which are completely due to the update of the game, and not because everyone has SSDs nowadays. DLSS/FSR support will be added with a classic camera mode and minor gameplay corrections. Here is a full list of improvements.
Key functions
- Improved graphics and performance – sharper textures, richer details, faster charging times and smoother gameplay.
- 4K texture intricate – Sophisticated, more detailed environments and characters.
- DLSS/FSR service -Wysokie quality impairment without dedication of performance (only support platforms).
- Increased NPC density – City Village Niaowu feels more alive with more figures populated on the streets.
- Classic camera mode – the optional perspective of the camera inspired by Shenmue AND Shenmue IINext to the newfangled view.
- Gameplay improvements – Optional corrections of the Stamina system, restoration of health before fights and reduced monetary barriers for smoother progress.
- Improved interactions -Cutscene and options for skipping conversations, an extended time window for rapid events to get a more available gameplay.
- Menu improvements and user experiences – improved navigation and helpful shopping alerts.
- Optional first – All main changes can be switched to maintain original experience for purists.
If you have a PS4 or PC version, there will be an update path. The date of issuing Shenmue III Enhanced has not been announced. There is also no trailer or screenshots, so there is a kitty instead.
