New trailer for Sega Shadow Side of Sonic X Generation Shadow showcases the weaponized hedgehog’s modern Doom powers. These include the Doom Spike, which allows Shadow to fire a quintet of flaming goo projectiles; the Doom Wing, which allows Shadow to glide through the sky; and the Doom Surf, which summons a manta ray made of black goo for Shadow to surf on. With the Doom Morph, Shadow can tap into his inner squid child to slide and swing using his tentacle grip.
Shadow’s biggest threat is his archenemy, Black Doom. Sonic X Generation Shadow history. But as Tuesday’s modern trailer shows, Shadow will be Also Face Metal Overlord in Battle – Metal Overlord is the ultimate form of Metal Sonic, who can also transform into Metal Madness. Fittingly, Shadow’s modern trailer is bursting with rousing metal guitar riffs.
Sonic X Generation Shadow will be released on October 25th — the same day we will get another dose of the story about a brave antihero possessed by a powerful, murky ooze. Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters this Friday, making the double feature essentially a Barbenheimer of black goo. That day, we’ll see Shadow the Hedgehog ride on a black goo manta ray AND Eddie Brock rides the murky horse of goo. Such a sticky coincidence!
