Sega fans were relieved to hear that Sonic the Hedgehog is still homeless

Despite being the face of a Hollywood movie franchise and the star of a thirty-year-old video game series, Sonic the Hedgehog is still homeless.

As reported Machinefans recently became concerned after discovering what appeared to be a major change to an incredibly random piece of Sonic the Hedgehog lore. A comic in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2025 annual claimed that the blue blob was located in Green Hill Zone, the iconic opening level of the original Sonic the Hedgehog game.

However, Sonic lore states otherwise that he is a vagabond, wandering from place to place and never settling, even on official channels such as TailsTube web series pointing to this fact.

So some fans were relieved to hear that Sonic had calmed down, while others went into uproar, prompting Chris Hernandez, Sega’s assistant manager for the Sonic the Hedgehog story, to clarify that the vintage claim was just a misprint.

“I’m sorry I burst the bubble so late,” Hernandez said X/Twitter. “It’s something we noticed early on, but it looks like an older version accidentally got through. Sonic has no home; he’s still a bum. I will work to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Thanks for catching this. “

Sonic seems too busy to sit down and apply for a mortgage, and his third film debuted on December 20 and introduced Shadow the Hedgehog into the cinematic universe. An improved remake of Sonic Generations composed of a sharper hedgehog in the aptly titled Sonic x Shadow Generations.

In our 9/10 Sonic x Shadow Generations review, IGN stated: “Sonic x Shadow Generations takes an already excellent game and elevates it to new heights this spring with a creative Shadow campaign and a significant graphical upgrade.
