Today, Amazon offers powerful and vast capacity Prime Anchor 27,650mAh USB Power Bank for just $124.99, a significant price drop of 31% from the original MSRP of $180. This is the successor to the Anker 737, which we considered the best Steam Deck and the ASUS ROG Ally charger. Note: It only has a significant battery capacity and also boasts an absolutely massive 250W of USB power that can charge even the most power-hungry MacBooks, iPhones and portable gaming consoles (in most cases simultaneously).

The Anker Prime is a powerful power bank measuring 6.4 inches x 2 inches x 2.2 inches and weighing 1.5 pounds. This is a more robust power bank designed to charge higher power consumption devices such as laptops, (many) portable gaming systems and (many) phones. It has two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port. Each USB Type-C port supports up to 140W of power, which is the maximum charging speed for the up-to-date 16-inch MacBook Pro 2024 laptop. If you want to apply both USB Type-C ports at the same time, C, one will be charged at 140W and the other at 100W. The USB Type-A port also boasts a charging power of up to 65W, which however drops to 18W if you apply both USB Type-C ports at the same time.
The 27,650 mAh battery capacity is more than you will ever need while traveling. It can charge Nintendo Switch OLED about 6 times, iPhone 15 Pro Max about 6 times, Steam Deck about 5 times and ASUS ROG Ally about 10 times. What makes the Anker Prime unique compared to most other power banks is the LCD digital readout. It displays a lot of useful information in real time, such as remaining battery capacity, power consumption and power output from each port.
When it comes to taking the Anker Prime on board a plane, this power bank generates 99.54 Wh, which meets TSA carry-on baggage requirements. Power banks must have a capacity of less than 100 Wh, which means this is the absolute highest capacity that can be taken on board without requiring special permission.
Anker Prime is an excellent Steam Deck/ASUS ROG Ally charger
Both ROG Ally and Steam Deck suffer from tiny battery life when gaming on the go. For example, if you’re playing most games at 60 FPS, you’d probably expect four hours of battery life on the Steam Deck and maybe half that on the ASUS ROG Ally, which comes with a measly 2,600 mAh battery. During our Steam Deck review, we even discovered that games like God of War and Spider-Man could potentially launch in less than 2 hours. Ultimately, you’ll never apply your Steam Deck or ROG Ally to its full potential unless you’re equipped with a decent portable charger.
Anker Prime is a unique charger for Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally portable gaming devices. The Steam Deck supports up to 38W, the ASUS ROG Ally up to 65W, and the Nintendo Switch up to 18W. This means that you can technically charge all three gaming consoles simultaneously via all three ports. If you’re traveling as a family with multiple Nintendo Switches or Steam Decks, this option will be much more convenient than taking multiple power banks with you.
