Sandbox announced update to its CATALYST ecosystem, which will influence the first official avatar collectionsCATALYST integration, initially implemented in December, will be expanded to include all official collectionsensuring that they become an integral part of them. This migration process aims to maintain consistency of avatar features and skills in line with novel ecosystem standards.
After the first migration phase, which was based on five levels of CATALYST, the community expressed confusion regarding the system, which led The Sandbox to reconsider its structure. In response to opinionthe platform decided return to the four-level system which better meets the expectations of players and simplifies rarity classification. This update will also include adjustment to ancient collection levelswhich will now be connected to the novel CATALYSTS, from “Extraordinary” to “Legendary” while respecting the original rarity of each collection.
We’ve heard your feedback and are continuing to work on migrating our older Official Avatar Collections to the CATALYST system. 💎 Why? We want to make sure that ALL Official Avatar owners can enjoy the Avatar benefits in future events.

It will take 3 to 5 days to implement changes in Sandbox
Implementation of these changes started on September 17, 2024 and will be implemented gradually, updating one or two collections at a timeThe entire process is expected to take from three and five daysUsers will be able to track progress directly on The Sandbox website, although there may be delays in updating external platformssuch as OpenSea, due to their dependency on cache updates.
