MultiVersus will feature two recent fighters – Jack from the beloved Cartoon Network/Adult Swim animated series Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice, well, Beetle Juice and its upcoming sequel (don’t make me write this a third time). The game will also get a ranked mode.
Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice are part of the Season 2: Back in Time content that launches tomorrow, July 23. Jack will be available at launch, allowing players to slash through enemies with his signature katana (as seen in the trailer below). Beetlejuice will arrive later in the season at an unknown date, so we won’t see him in action just yet. However, Warner Bros. confirms that he will be playable ahead of the September 6 theatrical release Beetle juice Beetle juice.
Season 2 also introduces a recent ranked mode, allowing players to battle it out for leaderboard points to earn exclusive cosmetics based on rank. A recent map, Warner Bros. Water Tower, will also be added.
MultiVersus is available now on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC. Since its return, the game has been bolstered by recent fighters like The Joker, Agent Smith from The Matrix, and Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th.
