- Samsung is set to make its popular trivia game The Six available on mobile devices for the first time
- If you are in Canada or North America, you can start the game via the Samsung News app
- The Six lets you compete with questions ranging from current events to world history
Samsung Galaxy users will soon be able to play The Six trivia game, previously only available on TV, as it arrives on mobile devices for the first time today. Starting today, Six will be playable on the Samsung News app in North America and Canada.
I don’t need to explain the appeal of trivia; whether it’s to show off to your friends or just train your brain. And it looks like Samsung The Six, which first debuted earlier this year in the Samsung TV lineup, has become a huge success among gamers.
In The Six, you solve six questions based on different topics, whether it is entertainment, current affairs or world history. The faster you answer, the higher your score. Since The Six seems like a minor obsession for some people, it’s not surprising that Samsung would like to expand the technology to mobile devices.
This puzzles me
I’m sure plenty of people will be excited to play The Six on mobile, and I admit that when I was younger, I was a little surprised by the popularity of the trivia games I enjoyed. After all, there’s that mental flexibility of telling each other that you’re both having fun AND while educating yourself.
However, at the moment, given that I live in the UK, there doesn’t seem to be much news about when I and others outside of North America and Canada will be able to access The Six. However, I bet that if it turns out to be so popular, it will only be a matter of time.
