Why the change? Well, the elementary fact is that where the game was originally scheduled to release in the 2023-24 season, delays meant that all future licensed content would focus on the 2024-25 season, so as is the case with all sports games today, will be named for the upcoming season.

The game, which is coming to Steam Early Access, will be a preview of the game’s mechanics and aims to work with players to enhance the rugby experience as much as possible before its full launch later this year

Rugby 25 Early Access will feature 21 nations, including the Australian and French teams, with full photogrammetry to capture their likenesses. Future updates will add other major nations, including New Zealand, South Africa and England, and there will be over 150 club teams from 11 competitions such as the URC, English Premiership, French Top 14, MLR and Super Rugby.
