Roblox users get a modern way to connect with friends while playing such games Dress to impress. From Monday, people logging into the gaming platform will be able to employ a modern way of chatting called Party. The feature set will add modern social elements to Roblox – such as group chats – and bring the functionality of an app like Discord directly to the Roblox platform.
Before the launch of Party, Roblox users would have to communicate with friends outside the platform to coordinate gaming sessions. Several Roblox games already have built-in chat, but these chat windows are often shared with other people on the server and close when you leave the game. Party will allow up to six users to create a group chat while playing games on Roblox. The modern features only allow you to send text messages when launched, but update from company details, it plans to add voice chat to the in-game app.
The party will not be available to all Roblox users. According to Roblox Corp. vice president of product Garima Sinha, Party will only be available to accounts marked as 13 and older.
