The animated series League of Legends Arcane recently ended second and final seasonand it looks like Riot Games and animation studio Fortiche Production have thrown him off balance. The the most exorbitant animated series ever produced has a perfect rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, it ended everything with a bang and left the audience wanting more.
And you will get more. While Arcane is sticking to its original two-season plan, co-creator and showrunner Christian Linke has now confirmed that the next steps in this “cinematic universe” will be three separate series focusing on different regions of the universe.
Fortiche is once again creating the series that Linke already mentioned when discussing the second season of Arcane. Linke added that the next LoL animated series entered pre-production about a year ago, although there is no information on the release window or which of the three series it will be. However, three years have passed between the two seasons of Arcane, so this shouldn’t be expected anytime soon.
If you squint, there’s the faintest Arcane connection to at least one of them: Noxus is the home region of Mel and Ambessy Medard from the show. Plus, the three regions Linke mentioned are some of the oldest and most lore-filled in LoL mythology, with plenty of champions to choose from, so they can go anywhere.
