Rimworld Odyssey Landmary explained

Published:

Rimworld’s The recent Odyssey DLC introduces recent systems that cannot be found in the basic game, and landmarks are a great example.

In Odyssey you did not get stuck on one planet to get the construction of the ship and escape. Instead, you have gravity, and this allows you to discover the space with the crew. When you touch the base on the map, you will come across landmarks, which are basically existing systems that are now abandoned.

These areas differ from empty sections on the map and there are many convincing reasons for visiting the landmark.

What are the landmarks in Odyssey Rimworld?

Orientation signs are previously existing structures on the map, which are randomly placed on the basis of seeds in Odyssey. You can visit these locations to find various POIs that can also contain various resources in this place. For example, you can visit abandoned colonies that can be transformed into a base. Immediately point is a special tile that you will find during observing the enlarged version of the map.

When you build a base from scratch, you must build all its functions and amenities yourself. On the other hand, the landmark will offer some existing inherited functions. It can be something good, for example, having freezers and radiators.

In the case of valleys and chasms, you will find rock formations that will facilitate your defense measures. But a given landmark may also have something negative to offer. There is a chance that the factory you have just found and chosen because the recent base has underneath, which raises the chances of attack.

Despite the risk, landmarks are great as a starting point for the recent colony, because they always offer additional resources. You can also exploit them to find tasks or send caravans to separate resources. These are also great choices for making feathers between travel.

There are over 45 different landmarks that can be found in the recent expansion. The speed of their appearance is random and differs in different map seeds.
