Review Lenovo Loq 15 Gen10

For some reason, notebook manufacturers seem to be almost obsessed with mass -disappointing graphics cards from panels that would embarrass most 4K TVs. It’s madness. Yes, they can be these phenomenally dense pixels, OLED, 240 Hz, crystal clear color, Uber mode displays, capable of projection of the most pretty, stunning image you’ve ever seen in your life directly in volleyball. He has been crazy for years. It may sound comical, I admit, but in my time I checked many budget laptops, and it is frustrating, because it doesn’t have to be like that. You do it very little. At the base of Gen10 is complete with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, Ryzen 7 250, and more importantly, straightforward, elegant, beautifully crunchy and sturdy IPS 15.6-inch display, 1920×1080 IPS, operating around 144 Hz. And it does all this with a price below 1,400 USD.

Yes, yes, I know what you think, technically, not that the graphics card is not really a “real” RTX 5060. I mean it is so, as long as the name is the same, and the basic architecture of RTX Blackwell also fits it, but it lost about 15% of its cores miracles, and it is not that 12% of everything else, ros, rops, tensor cores, and you Is, you im, all good things that make DLSS 4 work a little). Damn, I suppose we should be grateful, that he still advertises the same 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM.

The good news is that in general, that Mobile RTX 5060 actually provides 1080p when it comes to. Most of the titles were easily averaged at the 60 FPS and above sign, the only exception, of course, being Cyberpunk 2077 without any DLSS support (which still achieved relatively respected 36 FPS). It is so refreshing that I can simply play in native resolution on a laptop at this price point, without having to worry about setting graphics or change of resolution and stretched pixels or worse. In its default configuration, which I test here, LOQ 15 has a single DDR5 16 GB DDR5 rod at 5600 Mt/S. Do you know what Ryzen loves more than the frequency of memory? Memory bandwidth. There are moments, especially when charging programs, running many applications or intense high -loading activities, when you almost feel that this stuttering effect occurs on Gen10. You are trying to move the application on the screen or open a task manager. It is damn to be blunt, giving Windows Vista vibrations, and I don’t like it.

For an additional 65 USD, Lenovo will throw an additional 16 GB there, but to be sincere, they should be two double 8 GB channels at the beginning, maintaining this budget. At least you don’t wonder if the whole system is blocking because you just opened the paint or if the configuration of memory sucks.

Again, at the front of the SSD, similarly is not enough. The warehouse model is Sandisk WD Blue SN5000S, QLC, not very different from WD Blue SN5000, which I reviewed at the end of last year. My list of soft complaints lasts together with the battery life, which was only 89 minutes. Although this is better than some of the more premium, more home units, LOQ is generally challenging by its relatively miniature 60 Whr battery and relatively hungry power Ryzen 7 250 CPU. Now I was harsh here. This is effectively a budget notebook. At the end of all this can not be brilliant, and there is still a lot to love, far except that only the screen is the right choice for this graphics card.

The processor performance is impressive, even with this single -channel memory, and overcomes other RTX 5060 notebooks, such as Gigabyte’s Gaming A16 in the average FPS, which seems to be that it is not that there is nothing to Sniff.

And the overall quality of this thing? Purely unique. This is a game notebook; You can say it from the very beginning, you can’t hide it. There are angles and edges, an embossed logo and a protruding divot of the webcam, along with all support for We/O -DNA ports. But it’s not ostentatious.

Thanks to the dazzled game performance and the elegant, piercing design, which avoids the usual nonsense of the “player” in favor of a sophisticated style, it is a laptop that checks many boxes. However, this is not without fault and although it entertains well enough, it could be much better if only Lenovo improved the configuration of the basic model. Despite this, for the price, it would be challenging to find a RTX 5060 notebook, which packs the same number of impacts as Loq 15 at this price, and for that I have a hat for you well Lenovo, you did well.
