“We are incredibly excited to welcome budding explorers back to the Savage Planet universe. A lot has happened since we launched the original title – both in game and in real life, and the entire studio has been shut down due to the global pandemic. It is against this backdrop that Raccoon Logic was born, and with it, Revenge of the Savage Planet, which may or may not include the journey we all went through. Today’s XBOX reveal is the tip of the asteroid, and we can’t wait to show everyone the world we’ve created next year.” said Alex Hutchinson, Creative Director at Raccoon Logic.

Revenge of the Savage Planet will be playable solo and co-op, including split-screen, and players will be able to explore four planets. Your job will be to catalog the plants and animals on each planet, and you can even catch them. Not every endeavor will be effortless, and you will have to face the dangers on the planet’s surface. Exploration will earn you rewards in the form of all sorts of gear scattered throughout the place.

In our review of Journey to the Savage Planet, Dom wrote: “Few games generate enough excitement, intrigue, or fun to make you have to collect every collectible to earn every trophy and achievement, but Journey to the Savage Planet will have you searching every nook and cranny, jumping over seemingly impossible gaps, and scanning every last rock, simply because you want to. A frisky space adventure, Journey to the Savage Planet has the intelligence to make you laugh out loud while taking potshots at consumerism and big business.”

Journey to the Savage Planet was released in 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox. It was then followed by a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version in February 2023 that included DLC, 4K graphics, performance options, and an improved photo mode.
