If sitting on the couch and playing Honkai Star Rail or Diablo Immortal isn’t engaging enough for you, RazerCon 2024 just provided the solution. New Razer Freyja haptic gaming straps that can be attached to almost any gaming chair or plain elderly office chair, turning your gaming session into something much more fascinating.
Freyja uses six touch motor actuators and six pads to enhance your gaming experience, so your whole body receives the pulse of a gunshot in PUBG Mobile or the grind of a substantial drift in Asphalt 9. You can connect the pad to the Razer Nexus app to customize the touch experience and sensitivity to your preferences and then just throw yourself into the game. Whether you want to feel like you’re in the middle of the action and sense the enemy around you, or you prefer a gentle touch to keep you engaged in your favorite battle royale games, it’s your decision.
Not only is Razer’s touch pad perfect for gaming, but it’s also a great option if you want to get into the immersion zone while streaming a movie or listening to music. As for price, the Razer Freyja launches today at $299.99, but unfortunately it doesn’t appear to support iPhone. However, the touch pad isn’t the only mobile product we saw live at Razercon 2024.
The up-to-date Kraken V4 Pro is Razer’s latest primo gaming headset and can easily connect to your mobile phone via Bluetooth or, if your phone still has one, via the 3.5mm jack. This headset is equipped with several striking Chroma RGB lights, haptic ear cups and a Razer HyperClear Super Wideband Mic for exceptionally clear in-game communication. Not to mention the classic Razer sound quality is always top notch, and the ability to connect the headset to Freyja for an even more immersive gaming experience. The Razer Kraken V4 Pro launches today for $399.99 in the US or £399.99 in the UK.
Apart from these up-to-date peripherals, Razercon 2024 also brought many invigorating discoveries for PC gamers. There’s a Razer laptop cooling pad that does exactly what it says on the tin and keeps your laptop nice and chilly while gaming, and the Razer Synapse 4 update offers a simplified interface and greater depth of control configuration than ever before. This is all ahead of Razer’s 20th anniversary next year, which should coincide with more invigorating announcements (and hopefully a up-to-date Razer addition to our list of the best phone controllers).
