Have you ever wanted to show your love for your favorite Battle Royale game? If you’re a Fortnite fan, it could be some branded accessory or t-shirt. But if you’re a PUBG fan, now’s your chance to grab officially branded PUBG Mobile(?!) luggage. The promotion runs until January 7, so let’s see what you can grab this holiday season.
Yes, the PUBG Mobile x American Tourister collaboration that we first reported a while back is now available and brings not only in-game items but also a real-themed luggage collection. In-game, it looks like you’ll be able to swap out your regular backpack for the signature American Tourister backpack, and there’s also a standard airport suitcase up for grabs.
But it’s in real life that more intriguing things happen. Firstly, as we previously reported, you will soon be able to purchase a confined edition American Tourister Rollio luggage with a bit of PUBG Mobile branding, but the branding will be Also appear at the PUBG Mobile Global Championships finals!
Turning turning turning
Yes, the PUBG Mobile Global Championships has proven to be a warm spot for collaborations, as has Qiddiya Gaming’s recently announced presence at the event taking place this weekend at the ExCeL London Arena. American Tourister will also be on-site for IRL activations (basically sponsorships) throughout the event.
Suffice it to say, PUBG Mobile has some of them weird collaborate, but at the same time there’s no denying that they consistently manage to win over major brands, from cars to, well, luggage. I’ve noticed this a lot, although Fortnite seems to encompass the most significant elements of pop culture, in terms of brands PUBG and PUBG Mobile are at the top.
What does this say about how well PUBG’s reach on mobile is perceived by these companies? Makes you think, doesn’t it? But if you are participating in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (try writing This three times rapid) this weekend, keep your eyes peeled because you might see someone rushing to the airport with a familiar blue and yellow suitcase.
