Yes, the last generation console has recently received its own system software update. Available for download and installation now, PS4 has been updated to version 13.00, which is a pleasantly round number.
So what the hell is the 13.00 version? To be candid, not a lot, but it’s still worth discussing.

It is good to see how Sony still supports PS4, especially since it still has a huge installation base in 2025.
