The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom puts the titular princess front and center after Link gets lost in a mysterious rift. Despite the change in protagonist, this game has a lot in common with contemporary Zelda titles. For one, the aesthetic is very reminiscent of the 2019 one. Link’s Awakening remake. But the game also looks to embrace a more open systems design Tears of the Kingdomwhere Zelda’s magic wand (the Three Rods) allows her to create echoes of game objects and enemies.
Even based on the official trailers, it looks like things are going to get pretty weird — like “making a pile of old beds to climb up castle walls” weird. We’re pretty sure players will find even crazier scenarios when the game launches on September 26.
