- Port Quest is a modern IGDA, IGDAF and WIIGE initiative
- Offers a package of modern support for developers bringing them on a mobile phone
- Could this be the beginning of the Renaissance in mobile ports?
I think it can be safely said that as the passage of each year the technological gap between mobile devices and the PC and the console slowly narrows. The type of shooters, RPG and the release of strategies on mobile devices would now be unimaginable just five years ago. But this is still not enough because a modern initiative has started to encourage more Quest port!
Focus with Port Quest, a modern IGDA initiative (International Game Developers Association). Wigi (Women in Games Initiative) and IGDAF are, as you can expect, they will introduce more ports to a mobile phone. Port Quest aims to facilitate teams of programmers in this process by offering advice of industry veterans experts, as well as workshops, marketing campaigns and other facilitate.
Not only that, but selected applicants can also consist in displaying a dedicated presentation. Something for those of you who want to check the upcoming ports on mobile devices certainly can’t wait.
Thinking with ports
The conclusions are open until September 15, and people participating in the Devcom conference also have access to an exclusive panel. It may fly a bit over your head if you are a player, but if you even have an attraction of the fight to start something on mobile devices, it’s great news.
The fact is that Mobile often suffered from a decline to a “smaller” game platform. Despite the huge range, which dwarves virtually any other platform, it is still ridiculed by its own disadvantage. And this initiative promises to blow up the wide open door for all kinds of modern publications that will reach Mobil. The sky seems to be a very limit.
