Pokemon TCG Pocket players should add this one card to drastically improve their decks

If you’re drowning in Pokemon TCG Pocket like us, you’re probably trying to optimize your decks as much as you can. But instead of throwing in more basic Pokemon or trying to squeeze in more huge hits, you should look elsewhere to maximize your power.

We’re talking about fossils. While perhaps niche at first glance, these cards offer truly powerful versatility to many decks in the game, fulfilling two primary roles while not draining the energy of a core team of powerful Pokemon. This doesn’t make sense in every deck, but it’s worth considering for many.

Here’s why. As a trainer card that you can place on your board and bench, they provide a 40 HP wall that can take one or two hits. However, unlike other basic Pokemon, they will not be caught by the Pokeball when you are looking for a specific card to get the monentum building. What’s more, you can kick them out of the game at any time during your turn, so if you need a spot on the bench, you don’t have to wait until one of your teammates dies to start filling it up and losing energy.

Additionally, you may have noticed that the Sabrina card is often used by other players. This is an excellent option for a trainer as it allows you to force a swap from your front Pokemon to a benched one, allowing your opponent to shoot at cards that would otherwise go unused in the game. With fossil cards you can simply turn them into a quick sacrifice. Sure, you lose a card and your opponent gains a point, but you don’t waste energy and you can continue building your powerful Pokemon without worrying about unfortunate deaths.

There are currently three types of fossils available and you really only need two of them to try this out. Any fossils too, since you don’t want to exploit them as evolutionary material. Give it a try and let us know how it works in the comments below!
