Pokémon Legends: A.S it sold almost six million copies in its first week.
In statementThe Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon Legends: ZA, which debuted on October 16, has already sold 5.8 million copies worldwide, about half of which were purchased for Nintendo’s fresh console, Switch 2.
This means that the first Pokémon game to feature real-time Pokémon battles is the fifth best-selling game in the series in terms of first-week sales.
For reference, that’s more than Pokémon X/Y and Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee managed in their first weeks, but by X/Twitter user Pierre485not as much as Pokémon Scarlet/Violet, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and Pokémon Sword/Shield.

Pokémon Legends: ZA takes place in the city of Lumiose, where an urban redevelopment plan is underway to shape the city into a place that belongs to both humans and Pokémon, with a fresh battle system. This returned 8/10 in IGN’s review in which we concluded: “Pokémon Legends: ZA finally feels like Game Freak is getting on track in the 3D Pokémon era, with interesting scenery to explore, a well-written story, and a complete overhaul of the fighting system that works surprisingly well.”
