Where can I find Pokémon ZA shiny Pokémon?
The main way to find Shines is to look for them in Wild Zones or in the few places where Pokémon spawn outside of Wild Zones, such as rooftops and alleys. You’ll unlock these zones as you progress through the story, and each zone has at least five species of Pokémon that are native to that zone. Naturally, some of the mons will be shiny if you play long enough. Plus, thanks to the up-to-date auto-save feature, you don’t have to worry if someone shows up in a zone you haven’t unlocked yet. More on this subject soon.
Pokemon FOR Shiny Mareep
You can get a guaranteed shine in side mission 17, which is based on an encounter with a Shiny Mareep, so hey, you’ve already got one under your belt. Now go find some more in the Wild Zones, okay?
What are Pokémon ZA’s shiny rates?
From the fifth generation, the number of shiny Pokémon drops to frosty for every 4,096 Pokémon. The same is the case with Pokémon Legends: ZA, at least according to all the data we’ve seen so far. You can augment the ratio to four for every 4096, which evens out to about one for every 1024 if you have the Shiny Charm, which we mention a little later on this page.
What is Pokémon ZA’s shiny autosave feature?
Shiny Pokémon ZA has something not yet found in any other Pokémon game: shiny Pokémon never disappear in ZA, even if you close the game, die, or the day is over. Yes, that’s right – if you leave them completely alone, the shinies will stay exactly where they are. However, there is a challenging limit of 10 Shiny Pokémon in all of Lumiose City, so it’s not worth trying to collect more.
Shiny Pokémon that are dependent on the time of day or night will disappear during hours when they cannot be caught, but will return when their time comes, so don’t panic if you don’t see one you’ve been waiting a while to catch. What’s more, shiny Pokémon that appear in areas you haven’t unlocked yet will stay there until you’re able to reach them – so just because you don’t see them drop doesn’t mean you won’t find them later.

The only caveat is that some Pokémon immediately run away if they spot you, such as Dratini and Abra. This factor, combined with Pokémon ZA’s auto-save feature, means you have to be very careful when trying to catch a few sparkles, because with one wrong move you could lose your chance to catch the team’s shiny up-to-date mascot.
Does Pokémon ZA have a Shiny Charm?
Shiny Charm allows players to augment the drop rate of Shiny Charm, and Pokémon ZA’s Shiny Charm isn’t too arduous to obtain, although it does take some time. You must complete all fifty levels of Mable’s research by completing research tasks. So, while it takes some effort to get there, I hope you have fun before you start gathering your glowing army.
If you’re confused, the similar-sounding item, the Shiny Stone, isn’t actually related to catching sparkles. This is an evolution item that allows you to evolve Roselia into Roserade and Floette into Florges. Shiny stones can be found scattered throughout the city, and can also be picked up from the Stone Emporium after Main Mission 39, but again they won’t bring you any up-to-date shiny stones; you’ll need a Shiny Charm for this.
That’s all the vital information you’ll need to catch them all in the up-to-date game, which is coming to Nintendo Switch with the Pokémon Legends ZA DLC.
