PokemonGo is organizing an event for Srigatito Community Day on January 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
As expected for a Community Day event, Sprigatito will appear in huge numbers with a good chance of looking shiny. There are also some other bonuses and benefits which we have listed below.
How to catch a shiny Sprigatito?
According to venerable research conducted on the now defunct website The Silph Road (via Return machine), Shiny rates in Community Days are around 1 in 24, which means that if you play for the entire three hours, you should find quite a few shiny Pokémon.
If you’re miniature on time or Poké Balls, you can throw in some incense and then quickly tap each Sprigatito to check for any shiny ones, shying away from any that aren’t shiny. It’s worth noting that any Sprigatito you’ve already clicked on will be facing where your player is standing, so this should assist identify which ones you may have already checked.
What Community Day move does Sprigatito Evolution learn?
If you evolve Floragato into Meowscarada from 14:00 to 22:00 local time, it will learn a charged move Crazy Plant.
If you miss its evolution during this period, you will likely be able to evolve it during the Community Day weekend event in December to obtain the Frenzy Plant. If you don’t want to wait, you can employ Elite TM to make your move.
How does Meowscarada fare in the meta?
Meowscarada isn’t great for PvP, but it’s actually a pretty good grass-type attacker for raids and gyms. Configure it with Leafage AND Crazy Plant and it will deal massive damage. It still doesn’t outperform the best Grass-type attackers like Kartana or some of the shadow and/or Mega Pokémon, but it gets the job done.
