Now that August has arrived, a fresh set Time-based research “Common Sky” entered the game in Pokémon Go.
This set launched on August 1 and will run until September 10, and rewards encounters with Machop, Cubone, Hisuian Sneasel, and Donphan. To complete this set, you’ll need to defeat a ton of Team Go Rocket soldiers, so keep an eye out for balloons and captured PokéStops.
“Common Sky, Part 3” – Time-limited Research Tasks and Rewards
You have until September 10th to complete the research tasks below before they disappear.
“Common Sky Part 3” Timed Test Step 1 of 1
- Defeat 5 Team Go Rocket soldiers (Machop encounter)
- Win 3 raids (20 Ultra Balls)
- Defeat 10 Team Go Rocket soldiers (Cubones encounter)
- Win 5 raids (10 revives)
- Defeat 20 Team Go Rocket soldiers (encounter with Hisuian Sneasel)
- Catch a Pokémon on 10 different days (max 10 elixirs)
Awards: Meeting with Donphan, 2500 Stardust, 5000 XP

As mentioned, the final task has a time limit — you have to catch a Pokémon within 10 different days — so make sure you do it by September 1st if you want to complete every step and earn the final rewards.
