Efforts to preserve, highlight, and celebrate significant games from the past have been gaining momentum in recent years. Consider, for example, Digital Eclipse Atari 50a compilation of games from throughout the company’s history that provides great context in the form of interviews and archival footage, illuminating their colossal influence on gaming. Now we have another such compilation: UF0 50collection of 50 games from UFO Soft, a business software developer turned game developer that was responsible for dozens of gems in the 1980s that both reflected larger gaming trends of the time and innovated and pushed the medium forward in their own right.
