Oh man, there’s a fresh PlayStation 30th anniversary video that might just make fun of all the people asking for a Bloodborne remaster.
I think there’s probably no first PlayStation game that fans would want a remaster for than Bloodborne. It basically became “Smash?” on PlayStation? in every Nintendo Direct, literally every save game or other announcement, at least one person will ask for a remaster or remake of Bloodborne. I can’t blame them, as this is one of my favorite games, and as someone who mostly doesn’t care about frame rate, these frame rate drops can be a bit of a nuisance in an action-packed game like Bloodborne. But will a remaster be coming? Well, no, at least I’m not aware of one, but PlayStation’s fresh video thanking you, the fans, certainly suggests that “persistence” might get you something (if you want to read it that way).
The little anniversary video starts with the lyrics “If you know the story you know…” followed by a change of different words like “love, friendship, miracle” and all sorts appropriately tailored to various massive PlayStation IPs like Uncharted, Shadow Colossus and the like. Yes, “it’s about fantasy” appeared next to Final Fantasy 7, if you asked.

But the funniest thing about this video is that the last game shown in it is Bloodborne with the line “it’s about perseverance.” I don’t know about you, but I’m either joking that a remaster or remake will eventually come, or no one on the team behind this project has taken a second to ask whether this might be implying that fans are constantly asking for it, will make it it happened. Either way, it’s pretty stupid, but I really wouldn’t bet on such an announcement – besides, we really need Bloodborne 2.
