PlayStation Plus will go wild in August with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wild Hearts, Cult of the Lamb and many more games

Published:

Good news for PlayStation Plus subscribers who like to be on the wild side, as August’s lineup of games has been revealed. These include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Wild Hearts, and Cult of the Lamb, and will be available to download for free for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers starting August 20.

There are also a few classics added to the catalog for those who have spent a little more and have a Premium subscription. These include TimeSplitters 1 and 2, a pair of truly brilliant FPS games that are worth revisiting if you haven’t played them in a while. There’s also TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, which is definitelyAll right.

As for the main titles heading to the service, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is of course a great package, filled to the brim with excellent narrative content and incredible combat. Gwent is also in there, which, you know, is fine, I assume. Whichever way you slice it, you’re getting over 100 hours of excellent RPG goodness.

Wild Hearts is a Koei Tecmo game that is very much a continuation of the Monster Hunter format and currently finds itself in a bit of a strange place. It’s good, yes, but it lacks some of the punch and legendary feel that its main competitor has in abundance. It’s still worth playing, and considering the low cost or free-to-play nature of it, you don’t have many excuses not to check it out.

Cult of the Lamb is also excellent, and is a darkly entertaining, challenging Rogue-Like that was a real hit in 2022. It’s excellent quality, lovingly crafted, and deeply addictive. Build a cult and throw yourself into Eldritch horrors – what more do you want?

PlayStation owners will also receive other smaller games this month, including:

  • Ride 5 (PS5)
  • Watch Dogs 2 (PS4)
  • Sword Art Online: Last Memory (PS4, PS5)
  • Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker (PS4)
  • Sword Art Online: Alicia Lycoris (PS4)
  • Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet (PS4)
  • Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization (PS4)
  • Vacation Simulator (PSVR2)
  • Sword Art Online: The Lost Song (Ps4)

Overall, this is a frosty lineup! Let us know if you’ll be buying this year’s PlayStation Plus lineup or not!
