PlayStation Plus games announced for July 2024

Published:

Sony announced that its PlayStation Plus Essential games for July 2024 include Borderlands 3 (PS4 and PS5), NHL 24 (PS4 and PS5), and Among Us (PS4 and PS5).

Revealed on Blog about PlayStationall three games will be made available at no additional cost to PlayStation Plus subscribers on July 2. Genshin Impact players will also have access to the PlayStation Plus bundle on July 16, which includes 160 Primogems, four Fragile Resin, 20 Hero’s Wit, 30 Mystic Upgrade Ore, and 150,000 Mora.

Borderlands 3 is probably the biggest game in July’s lineup and the latest entry in Gearbox’s beloved looter shooter series. Players explore the world of Pandora alone or with friends, facing off against a variety of villains and teaming up with just as many crazy allies.

In our September 10 review, IGN stated, “Borderlands 3 doesn’t give up and outdoes itself with an incredible arsenal of weapons, humor and missions.”

It coincides perfectly with the end of the NFL season, so fans can keep the excitement alive with NHL 24, the latest hockey game from EA Sports.

“NHL 24’s new gameplay features bring the action on the ice to life, but its collection of unpolished game modes grows more stale with each passing year,” IGN said in our 7/10 review.

Finally, the PlayStation version of the viral Among Us cheat will be available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Players must work with a team of crew members to prepare the spaceship for departure, but not everyone will play nice.

“Among Us successfully brings the tricky gameplay of live cloak-and-dagger games to video game form,” IGN said in another 9/10 review. “Murder and deception on a whimsical cartoon spaceship is so funny that the only real question is why did it take so long to catch on?”

Borderlands 3, NHL 24 and Among Us will be available for free until August 6, 2024. For those who haven’t yet added the June 2024 PlayStation Plus games to their library – SpongeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake, AEW Fight Forever and Streets of Rage 4 — they have until July 1 to do so.
