Last year’s celebratory remake of Silent Hill 2 will join PlayStation Plus with an additional catalog later this month.

The game would be an added treat – well in time for spooky season – on top of the three monthly games currently offered to all PlayStation Plus subscribers: Alan Wake 2, Goat Simulator 3, and Cocoon.
The apparent arrival of Silent Hill 2 Remake on PlayStation Plus Extra will come on the heels of the game’s first anniversary (launching on PC and PS5 in October 2024) and amid viral rumors regarding the game’s novel content, including its unannounced but attending fan-born DLC wish.
Surviving a horror indeed Twilight golem He hinted that the Silent Hill 2 remake will soon be updated with PS5 Pro support at the same time as the DLC launch – which also sounds like it could potentially be timed alongside PlayStation Plus.
For the uninitiated, Born From A Wish is a silhouette added to the original Silent Hill 2, featuring Maria as her playable character. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted hints of story content in the base game, though publisher Konami has so far kept Schtum on DLC.
To date, the Silent Hill 2 remake remains a PlayStation exclusive. So far, there has been no word on when it might launch on other platforms like Xbox Series X/S or even Nintendo Switch 2. Hopefully we’ll hear more soon.
IGN’s review of the Silent Hill 2 remake returned a score of 8/10 and called it “a welcome modernization of the survival of a terrifying masterpiece. Collectively, it polishes the rough edges of the original game’s combat by taking a piece of heavy sandpaper to sand off every rust and mildew-covered surface of its nightmarish environments.”
