Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a phenomenal video game, and that doesn’t raise much controversy. It put the series, created by Sony-owned indie developer Naughty Dog, on the map in a way the first game hadn’t quite managed, setting a stylish, cinematic direction for many of its contemporaries to this day. The main character Nathan Drake joined the pantheon of many PlayStation mascotsand Naughty Dog will become his most prestigious studio. Since 2015, Uncharted 2 alone has sold over 6.5 million copies.
Geoff Keighley, host of The Game Awards and the gamer he was Therereflected in the game’s legacy on the 15th anniversary of the PS3 launch in North America. This started an avalanche of fond memories from many, many fans of the game. Among Thieves, director and screenwriter Amy Hennig she herself said: “I can’t believe it’s been 15 years already! I’m very proud of what we achieved with this game – great memories!”
