This is not a trick! After over four years of playing exclusively on PC, Kinetic Games Phosmophobia haunts consoles for the first time.
Released on October 29, the co-operative horror game is now available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Kinetic Games also released a launch trailer featuring intense ghost-hunting gameplay.
Phosmophobia allows one to four players to prepare for and confront paranormal phenomena using specialized equipment reminiscent of reality shows such as Ghost Hunters. Features over 10 unique locations to discover and over 20 different ghosts with individual characteristics to encounter and survive. The game also offers the ability to create custom games, giving hunters the opportunity to create their own, completely original experience.
PhosmophobiaIts unique gameplay made it extremely popular on Steam, where it achieved peaked at 112,241 players and still boasts over 40,000 concurrent viewers players per day. It also takes place in 20 best-selling titles on Steam.
Phosmophobiathe cooperative element, open gameplay, and fear of fear make it quite popular among the Twitch streaming community as well. Many high-view streamers featured this title on stream, including Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, and RDCWorld. Overall, the game ranks in Top 150 Twitch Players by Most Viewers Ever and watched a total of almost 223 million hours.
