Working with a maximum of three other players, the goal that is located before you seem to be discouraging. After landing in the case of an abandoned island, the only way out is scaling the mountain giant that stands in front of you. But to do this, you need impeccable teamwork and quick problem solving to overtake a deadly fog that will slowly start to grow from the ground.
If the fog or fall does not kill you, hunger can. How far you can climb depends on how good you are feeding, how tough your backpack is and whether you managed to poison.
To try to overtake hunger, my group of explorers threw out the best path, support each other and feed resources and food. You can plunder suitcases containing food, climbing tools or first support, and are rarely on the map, shaking on the shelves or sitting on trees.
There are also fruit on trees or bushes. Some are better to eat than others, such as coconut, green Crispberry or Winter Orange. Foods such as mushrooms, red Crispberry or Scorchberry will satisfy your hunger, for sure, but it can provide short-lived debuffs, such as poison or heat that will reduce your strength and reduce climbing possibilities. Food is critical and can be arduous to find, so filling the backpack with so many winter oranges, as much as you can match, is a must.
In addition to feeding or feeding the strength of strange berries to your friends, to see if something bad happens, Peak is about climbing, and that it is a rocky unveiling or diminutive shelf. As long as you pull, everything is fine.

But it is because Peak is a game about helping friends, no matter how many stupid situations they manage to get.
During a particularly acute snowstorm in the winter bioma, my group parted, trying to choose two different suitcases that we saw nearby. After the worst winter frosts, we tried to meet us, but we finished in a long game Marco Polo by a chat of closeness, when the last member of our team was found in a gap without endurance. Finally, we pulled them out, with a helping hand and energy drink.
There are more obstacles than just snowstorms. At some point, when we wandered through the tropical jungle, I managed to jump onto a toxic bush that exploded into a cloud of poison and fired my friend from the side of the cliff, into the abyss of the fog. The last biom is full of lava. It flows and flows, which means that you need to jump and climb to avoid fire damage.
No matter how arduous things may seem, everything is possible thanks to the strength of friendship and gravitational weapons.
Staying at the top is a must. You can boost the friends of the cliffs, pull them up when they ran out of strength and easily share resources. It is not so arduous to get to every control point with four players, allowing you to revive all players who died on the way. And no, you don’t have to pull their dead body to do this. I discovered it on my own path.
Another good incentive to stay together is a bizarre skeletal creature that will emerge from the fog and hunt you if you decide to run in front of the group. This is an absolutely terrible experience – you will not only experience mental damage, but also real damage when the monster throws you on the side of the mountain. You have been warned.
One is the youngest number
Despite all their strengths for many players, the peak can feel completely empty while playing alone. Sure, it can be peaceful – it transforms the game into more solo puzzles, something nice to play while listening to the podcast. But there is no doubt that this is a game that you play with others.
When I decided to free the solo upstairs, not only I had difficulty that he did not support me pull up or I did not feel like my wounds, but it became frustrating. Without supporting you from the sides, laughter with misery or reviving you at control points, dying seemed like a blow. Like combined together and defeating it with Bennett Foddy, you have to get to the top in one run. No defensive throws or Redos – if you fall to the bottom and somehow managed to survive, you need to climb back to the place where you were and no further.
But this does not mean that the only reason why Peak is pleasant is the friends with whom you play, although it can support. Peak is a game that presents the best, which both Landfall and Agro Crab studies have to offer: a terrifying cooperative that encourages you to creatively solve problems. It works well – at least if you play with DX12, not Vulcan, which cooks my computer and breaks my games – and has responsive control elements, as well as the sound he made, while climbing is strangely satisfying.
Peak is a fantastically made game and a great approach to solving problems that are absolutely developing in multiplayer. This is a fantastic value for money, probably best this year. If you are looking for a recent basic cooperation to enjoy friends, it should be at the top of the list.
