Peak Dev claims that he would prefer to pirate the game than to play “Microtransaction Ridddddled Roblox Slopfoff”

Published:

AGGRO CRAB, a developer of another treasure crab and a recently published cooperative Survival Climbing Peak, today aimed at the Roblox maple version in a Twitter/x post, in which the studio said that it would prefer that pirate people peak than play “this microtransation Roblox Slop Ripoff”.

. Post in question It shows the screenshots of the Roblox game called “Cliff”, which looks suspiciously similar to the summit of AGGRO CRAB. Both games depict the round main character, whose goal is to climb up in the center of the island, which can be achieved yourself or with friends. Cliff calls even in his description that he is inspired by the peak!

Although “inspired” may be a bit generous. Look at two games descriptions next to each other. Here is the peak:

Peak is a climbing game in which the smallest error can spell your destruction. Either solo, or as a group of scouts of lost nature, your only hope for rescue from the mysterious island is scaling the mountain in its center. Do you have what you need to reach the peak?

Work together

Do you need a hand? You have to rely on friends to hope to scale the mountain that changes every day. Help each other shelves or place ropes and climb spikes to make it easier for those who come.

And this is Cliff:

⛰️Liff is a challenging climbing game in which your fall can be even the smallest mistake. Trapped on a mysterious island, the only way to escape is to reach the top of the high cliff. Do you have skills and courage to get to the top?

✋ Work together

Do you need aid? You will have to rely on your friends if you want to have a chance to get up. The mountain is challenging, so aid each other shelves and watch out for danger to facilitate climbing for those who come for you.

Woof, that’s … the same? Basically, this is the same description copied wholesale with the mentioned synonyms. And comparison of cliff badges and steam achievements for the summit reveals that Cliff also called the bikes “Brzeg” and “Tropiki” immediately after the location of the top of the same names.

The biggest material difference between the two games, in addition to such things as quality and scope, is that Cliff has microtransactions. You can buy some items using Robux, including climbing Pickaxe, a parrot of a parrot and a starterpack. Peak doesn’t have such a thing. It’s 8 USD for the game itself and that’s all.

Unfortunately, this is a common phenomenon on Roblox. To the Roblox search function, connect the name of almost every game, AAA or India, and you will find countless clones. During rapid search, I was able to find variants filled with a microtransation in Pokemon, Mario, Sonic, Undertale, Untitled Goose Game, Five Nights at Freddy’s (Woof, there are plenty of them), Fortnite, Elden Ring, Stardew Valley, Celeste … I could continue. Some of these games are sold as a tribute or fangs, but a lot simply utilize stolen resources from games on which they are based, while others are quite glaring clones trying to hide, changing the right nouns.

Considering Roblox’s historical approach to moderation, it is challenging to say whether AGGRO KABA explanation will have any impact on the cliff. But at least the studio revealed its wishes. Probably the solution is only to buy a peak. But if you are so desperate, instead you play cliff, programmers prefer to get involved in piracy instead.
