Oh shit, The Crew 2 is on sale on Steam for $1

Got a Dollar? Because If You Do, I’ve Got a Good Way to Spend It: Ubisoft’s Open-World Racing Game Crew 2which is now 98% off its regular price — yes, that’s $1.

The Crew 2 didn’t exactly blow us away when it first came out in 2018. The open-world racing game featured an “impressively huge, occasionally beautiful map,” as we said at the time, which unfortunately didn’t “make up for the mediocre driving and lack of multiplayer options.” But a lot has happened since then, including a slew of fixes and updates, and the game now has a “very positive” rating from over 61,000 Steam user reviews.

And, you know, it costs one dollar.

If you search, you will also find that The Crew 2 is on our list of the best flight simulators for PC. This is not a metaphor “I’m going so fast that I’m flying” Flight Type: In addition to the standard array of cars, The Crew 2 also puts players in control of planes and boats—The Crew 2 launch trailer opens with a sequence featuring a plane.

And that is it dollar.

According to Is there a deal? This is the lowest price The Crew 2 has ever been on the Epic Games Store, excluding sales. And by the way, it’s never been offered on the Epic Games Store, so it’s as good as it gets.

I don’t think I need to wax sentimental about this any further, but I’ll do it anyway: This morning, Ubisoft committed to adding an offline mode to The Crew 2, as well as The Crew Motorfest (which is also for salefor $21), which means that — assuming Ubi follows through — The Crew 2 won’t suffer the same ignominious fate as its predecessor, which was rendered completely unplayable after its servers were taken offline in April.

The Crew 2 Big Sale is happening alongside Ubisoft’s announcement of The Crew Motorfest Year 2, which is set to launch in November. The event will feature the entire island of Maui as a free event for all players, the return of the Made in Japan playlist, and a recent PvE mode called The Chase Squad. Full details can be found on the website ubisoft.com.

Crew 2 is available for the ridiculously low price of — I can’t stress this enough — $1 until September 23rd. If Steam isn’t what you’re looking for, you can still get it for the same price — I repeat, it is literally one dollar-With Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.
