Offensively handsome Sims challenger Inzoi is coming to Early Access in March 2025

Life simulation game Inzoi will release on PC via Steam Early Access on March 28, 2025, publishers Krafton have announced. Billed as a potential Sims 4 usurper and featuring syrupy graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5, it was originally scheduled for release this year.

In August, the developers released a free character editor for the game. Graham was somewhat enthused by this, although he was more interested in the prospect of drivable cars, editable cities, and planned mod support at launch. As for me, I really like the bustling downtowns and the Ferris wheels there Steam page.

Posting on Discord (via Gematsu), producer and director Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim justified the delay with a generous reference to human biology. “Among primates, it is said to take the longest to raise a human child to adulthood because humans must be prepared to survive and adapt to an ever-changing environment,” he wrote. “The extra love and care needed to properly raise a child is how I see our journey with inZOI, a game we will cherish together from the moment it is born in Early Access.”

I wonder if clinical doctors have ever told concerned youthful parents not to worry about their children being leisurely learners, because it is said that among video games, it takes the longest to get an early access project up to version 1.0 because developers have to be prepared to adapt to the constantly changing environment. And really, if you think about it, the extra love and care required to properly nurture an Early Access game is how you should view your journey with little Timmy who just had an entire Barbie doll stuffed up his nose.

“This change in release date reflects our commitment to providing inZOI with a stronger foundation so that we can embark on this journey together in the best way possible,” Kim continued. “Until the launch date, we will continue to refine areas that need attention, striving to create a game that truly captures the essence of life simulation. Our goal is to provide fans with an experience they can enjoy for many years to come.”

Well, I guess I can’t laugh at this part. I wish Inzoi all the best as she takes on The Sims, now the Sims universe – I hope it does better than Paradox’s Life By You. Although I must admit, I find it quite creepy that every Inzoi character I’ve seen looks like a runway model.
