This was another super simple Connections game; maybe NYT felt they were too challenging on us lately? I’m not complaining, because there’s a threshold that, once crossed, takes this game from pleasantly hard to not fun at all, please do it ASAP.
Today’s is no different. The “Raspy,” the easiest yellow group, stood out right away, and I spotted the blue soon after. The green, the “fingers,” group, was another simple one, and I’m sure I could solve the purple if I had to. I bet tomorrow’s will be a lot harder, though.
How did you do today? Email me and let me know.

What is NYT Connections?
NYT Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games created by the New York Times. It requires you to find groups of four items that have something in common, with each group having a different level of difficulty: green is simple, yellow is a little harder, blue is often quite challenging, and purple is usually very challenging.
The positive is that you technically don’t have to solve the last one, since you’ll be able to answer it by elimination. What’s more, you can make up to four mistakes, which gives you a bit of breathing room.
It’s a bit more complicated than something like Wordle, though, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to surprise you with tricks. For example, watch out for homophones and other wordplay that can hide answers.
You can play it for free via NYT Games Page on your desktop computer or mobile device.
