NYT Connections today (game #382) – answers
The answers for today’s Connections game, #382, are…
- YELLOW: CHASE Pursue, hunt, mission, search
- GREEN: ROMANTIC SIGNING OF LETTERS KISSES ALWAYS, LOVE, YOURS
- BLUE: GROUP IN GROUP CAMP, PARTY, SIDE, WING
- PURPLE: GOLD ___ Bond, leaf, mine, RUSH
- My ranking: Moderate
- My result: 1 error
Although I made one mistake here, it probably should have been zero – because all four Connections groups are relatively basic, and three of them are basic synonyms, and only the hardest purple collection is a more complicated variant of the missing word.
I finished the green color first, and the letter signatures stood out pretty quickly. Yellow, in balmy pursuit, followed soon after, but as is usually the case, I held back a bit, leaving the two heaviest groups behind. I decided to focus on BOND, because it is not a very popular word, and the association with money led me to gold, and then LEAD, MINE and RUSH.

What are NYT Connections?
NYT Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games created by the New York Times. The task is to find groups of four items that have something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is effortless, yellow is slightly more tough, blue is often quite tough, and purple is usually very tough.
The advantage is that you technically don’t have to solve the last one because you will be able to answer it by process of elimination. What’s more, you can make as many as four mistakes, which gives you some slack.
However, it’s a little more complicated than something like Wordle, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to throw you into tricks. For example, watch out for homophones and other wordplay that can undiscovered answers.
You can play it for free via NYT Gaming Site on your desktop computer or mobile phone.
