Acquaintances is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game involves categorizing a pool of 16 words into four secret (for now) groups by figuring out how the words are related to each other. The puzzle resets every night at midnight, and each modern puzzle has a different degree of difficulty. Just like Wordyou can track your winning streak and compare your results with your friends.

How to play Connections
IN Acquaintancesyou’ll be presented with a grid of 16 words—your goal is to organize these words into four sets of four by identifying the connections that connect them. These sets can include concepts like video game series titles, book series sequels, shades of red, restaurant chain names, etc.
There are usually words that seem to fit multiple topics, but there is only one 100% correct answer. You can shuffle the grid of words and change their order to better see potential connections.
Each group is marked with a color. The yellow group is the easiest to decipher, followed by the green, blue, and purple groups.
Select four words and click To fold. If you are correct, four words will be removed from the grid and the theme connecting them will be revealed. Guess incorrectly and it will be considered a mistake. You only have four mistakes to end the game.
