Noth Ear (a) Earbuds are great for listening to music or movies, but they are not the best in games. As a pair of ear inserts for the average user – especially for those who care about style – they are great, but unfortunately I can’t spend them for a PC player.
Style points, however, are essential points, and nothing is in the clutch on this front. I have a yellow version, but to be candid, both black and white versions also look great in their own way – white looks the most pretty for my eyes. Especially everything helps partially moving the stem and in full limpid cover.
In -ear inserts and matters look not only worthy of 99 USD MSRP, but are also worthy. Although plastic, the housing seems solid and breaks closed with a slight key, and similarly solid ear inserts are easily pulled and effortless. I do not feel ashamed of the issue of the case. On the contrary, the utilize of these inch inserts makes me feel like a completely ordinary up-to-date person, right at home in Starbucks.
They also serve very well for traveling and listening to music. The battery life is decent, although there is nothing to write home, with 9.5 hours on headphones and 42.5 hours, including a load in the case. And unfortunately there is no wireless charging, only USB-C, which I would like to see at this price. Even the cheaper Earfun Air Pro 4 headphones (which I highly assess) have wireless charging. However, it has an IP54 rating, which should mean that it is unthreatening from delicate rain and a little dust.
Nothing ear (a) specifications
I like the ear controls, because they work, squeezing the stems, not ordinary touch controls, which is slightly easier to obtain the right and less susceptible to random presses.
Audio is also very impressive for this price point, although of course you will find a better sound in slightly more high-priced audiophile buds, not to mention those that can do something more than just bluetooth, because it compresses the sound.
The most essential thing I noticed after trying out Nothing Ear (A) for the first time was that the sound scene is very wide and full. Thanks to the improved bass setting enabled and set to the third level (on five), the bass is very forceful, and the sound generally seems more open than from some in -ear inserts, such as (admittedly) Air Pro 4.
This is not as crunchy or as lively as Earfun buds after taming with EQ, and the amount of DIY, which you can do with EQ NIT, is constrained, the least (the “custom” option only allows you to change three bands: bass, mid and triple).
Despite this, I prefer sound from the ear Nothing (A) to the sound from Air Pro 4. And this applies to both music and games – in the latter and wide sound in combination with a more forceful bass (for example from shots) helps in immersion.
Listen to the above to hear the quality of the Nothing Ear (A) microphone.
Saying this, I still have a tendency to return to Earfun Air Pro 4, and not to Nothing Ear (A), and for several reasons. The first is one that probably will not apply to most people: nothing will fall out of my strange tiny ears. I think that this is happening only because my ears are very tiny, so the buds do not have enough space to relax comfortably, but this is something you should know if you are struggling with similar ones. I did not have the same problem with Air Pro 4 headphones and I think it is because the part of the ear insert, which sits outside the ear canal, is smaller.
The second reason – and the most suitable for PC players – is that even with “low delay mode” has been included, there is still a noticeable delay compared to the Bluetooth connection. It is quite unsuccessful without turning this mode, but even after turning it on, the delay is somewhat noticeable in the way it is not with earfun buds. It seems that it comes out every time you put your ear inserts, which means that you have to go back every time to turn on it.
Buy if …
✅ You want stylish buds for music: If you do not care about the delay in games, these ear inserts are fantastic for style, ease of utilize and sound quality at this price.
Don’t buy if …
❌ You play responsive games: If you want to utilize them for games in anything that uses a responsive sound (arrows, competitive shooters and so on), the low delay will be a bit of resistance.
The last main reason why I reach for other ear inserts, not these is that the microphone is quite rubbish on them. The people with whom I spoke on the phone noticed that my voice deteriorated as soon as I began to utilize them instead of Earfun or SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds buds. My voice is audible, but it is not perfect, even for ear inserts.
I should also notice that these ear inserts contain chatgpt integration through a voice assistant, but I turned it off almost immediately, because I want to connect ear inserts, not the annoying brother of my huge brother. Okay, it’s a lie, I turned off the voice control because he called it a random someone in my phone book when I asked for the weather.
Simply listening to music or other non -internetactive things in which delay and voice do not play a role, these are fantastic ear inserts. They are stylish, effortless to utilize (plug-n-play, almost), with plain and elegant software, and sound fantastic. They even have good ANC modes and transparency. But in the case of games, a destitute delay is challenging to see, and even some cheaper ear inserts with a better delay will be a better option.
