Sony may have recently announced the PS5 Pro, but if you’re not ready to invest in the upcoming mid-generation console, UK retailers are now offering older PS5 consoles at a discount.
PS5 Slim is available at the moment 415 pounds (was 479 pounds) while the PS5 digital version is now available 329 pounds (was £389) from EE.
Elsewhere is the PS5 Slim £429.99 (was £479.99) and the PS5 digital version is there £339.99 (was £389.99) at Argos. This may be a better option if you prefer local pickup.
All four offers are currently for a circumscribed time and can save you between £50 and £64. Compared to other online deals, these deals are a great, affordable option if you’re looking to save some extra money before Black Friday next month.

The PS5 Slim is, you guessed it, a thinner and updated version of the original PlayStation 5, featuring a rapid SSD and support for resolutions up to 4K/120fps in a host of amazing exclusive titles. It also comes with a DualSense wireless controller with feedback support and adaptive triggers that respond perfectly to some of the best PS5 games like the recently released Astrobot.
On the other hand, there’s the PS5 Digital Edition, which includes the same components as the Slim version, although it doesn’t come with a handy disc drive, which means you won’t be able to apply physical media you already own.
