Nominations for the 12th edition of Pocket Gamer Awards have started

Published:

Apparently it’s that time of year. Correct. We are back again for the 12th edition of the Pocket Gamer Awards. I have already done about five such performances and it is always a highlight for me. I love having the opportunity to look back at the best of mobile gaming over the last 12 months. In a world that can (understandably) be a bit cynical, it’s great to just spread a little positivity.

Of course, I won’t do it directly. Oh no. That will be you, dear reader. How? You can ask. Well, all Pocket Gamer Awards winners are selected by public voting, which means that no matter how much I talk about Dredge, I have no control over whether it wins the award or not. It all depends on you, and we will handle it in three stages.

Nominations are now open

Firstly, you need to nominate your favorite games in the different categories we have prepared. They aim to celebrate everything from genre excellence, developers, portability, and even community. The only thing you need to remember is that your nominees must have been made redundant between October 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025. Mostly, anyway. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but these will become clear once you read the nomination form. Get out there now and let your voice be heard.

Then we open the voting

In about a month, we’ll tally the nominations and create a shortlist for each category. Of course, this will be revealed on the website and then it’s up to you to vote for your favorites. Of course, you can also encourage your friends and family, as well as other players, to do the same. It all depends on how badly you want your pick to take home the prize. Voting will be open for a month, so you’ll have plenty of time to vote.

Live awards ceremony

Finally, after voting is over, we will dust off the abacus and choose the winners. They will then be revealed in a classy event at our flagship B2B event, Pocket Gamer connects London.
