It’s N7 Day, that wonderful time of year when alien lovers from all over the world come together, look at BioWare and say, “Come on, do something.” Well, the good news is that this year, BioWare reached an agreement with No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games. Starting today, the Normandy from Mass Effect returns to NMS, along with several other recent features.

Yep, after warning people that this year’s N7 Day would be “quiet” due to Dragon Age: The Veilguard having just been released, BioWare has at least made a nice collaboration, regardless of what else it may or may not have up its sleeve. . Additionally, it’s a game that has had many other captivating updates and additions this year.

As described in blog post about the latest news in No Man’s SkyHello Games has received the keys to the Normandy for the first time in 2021, allowing it to temporarily add the ship to its galaxy as part of a time-limited expedition dubbed “The Beachhead.”

In addition to this, there are several other recent additions to NMS today, one of which includes cross-write support for several platforms, starting with a “small player” beta version that you can register hereand sharing with everyone else via invitation “in the coming weeks.”

“Adding Cross-Save is a bit like moving house for us. The longer people live there, the more complicated it is to relocate them,” writes Hello Games. “We also have players who played once at launch, eight years ago, suddenly I’m uploading this save to a platform that didn’t even exist back then. For these reasons, we have been secretly rolling out the technology for this update for over 6 months.

Finally, if you’re one of the people who just picked up a PS5 Pro – or are planning to do so – NMS has received a free, enhanced version that’s available now. Regarding its performance, Hello writes: “In addition to significantly sharper resolution at higher frame rates, the increased power of PlayStation 5 Pro has enabled us to increase the overall graphics quality. PlayStation 5 Pro players will see improved lighting with ultra-high-quality reflections and higher quality ambient occlusion in all modes.”
