Hello Games has announced and released a recent update for No Man’s Sky, calling it Breach. The Breach Expedition is a limited-time event that will last three weeks and take players to an abandoned universe full of wrecked corvettes that can be taken apart for parts. The ultimate goal of the expedition is to find the Fireship Arcadia, but to get there, players will have to venture into hostile environments, including purple star systems.
Solar systems with purple stars first appeared in the Championships update Part II, and players venturing into these areas will need to be fully prepared as they are quite hostile environmentally. However, the reward for tearing down Corvette wrecks may be worth it. Equipped with a multi-function laser, you’ll be able to salvage parts from wrecks and apply them to build ships in the Corvette workshop. Items you can obtain as scrap include chassis, shields, weapons, connectors, and wedge-shaped modules. Rewards for entering Breach include Event Horizon, Eternal Serpents and Siren of the Stars posters, Aeron Cowling and Aeron Diffuser hull plates, Atlas-themed Wings of Aeron wing module, Aeron drive and Aeron blade, decorative Aeron winglet, Aeron pillar and Aeron pyramid, trail exhaust of the Aeron spacecraft, and an Aeron power shield that can augment the ship’s defense strength.
There have also been improvements since Voyagers launched, with Hello Games improving snapping, increasing collision reliability, and adding the option to apply a color palette to the Corvette in the workshop.
