Nintendo Switch Black Friday set available again, discounts on the OLED console

Published:

The amazing Switch OLED kit is back in stock at Target, now retails for $275next to the standard Switch Pack for $225. They both include a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription, making them exclusive Black Friday 2024 deals and probably my favorite deal of the year.

This deal has already sold out multiple times before Black Friday (today!) and I wouldn’t be surprised if it sells out again before the end of the day. Even with rumors that the Switch 2 is likely coming out next year, it’s worth picking up this bundle for your kids, a friend, or yourself, but do it quickly to avoid missing out, as it’s unlikely to last long.

These bundles offer a $155 discount compared to purchasing everything separately at full price, making it an excellent value even with a Switch successor on the horizon. Additionally, the inclusion of a 12-month NSO subscription is a step forward compared to previous packages that only offered a three-month online membership. In case you didn’t know, a 12-month NSO membership includes access to online multiplayer, cloud saves, and a growing library of classic NES, SNES and Game Boy titles. Paired with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, these packs provide excellent value at very competitive prices, whichever you choose.

Other exclusive Black Friday deals include: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (digital) for $30 at Walmart – a significant drop from the launch price of $70 and the lowest price yet for IGN’s 2023 Game of the Year. These discounts come as speculation grows about Nintendo’s next console, commonly called the Switch 2. Reports point to a 2025 launch, and backward compatibility with current Switch and Switch Online games has already been confirmed.

More Switch deals for Black Friday

The final phase of Nintendo’s Black Friday sale is here, and here are the best deals that don’t get any better! To be fair, for the most part they are perfect as is.

The sale includes discounts on popular Switch titles including Sonic X Generations for $29.99, Super Mario Odyssey for $29.99, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for $44.99 and Balatro for $19.99.

Black Friday deals on MicroSD card

Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED offer 32 GB and 64 GB of internal memory, respectively, some of which is reserved for the operating system. For comparison, Tears of the Kingdom takes up 16 GB, while Breath of the Wild requires about 13.5 GB. Downloading both games digitally would almost fill up the original Switch’s memory, making a high-capacity memory card less of a luxury and more of a necessity.
