Nintendo has announced its plans for Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025. While Mario won’t offer a discount on Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, it will drop prices on several original Switch games and Switch 2 memory cards. Specifically, you’ll be able to purchase games like The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and Luigi’s Mansion 3 for $29.99 and get a $20 discount on a 256GB microSD Express card. These deals represent about as much as Nintendo has ever dropped from prices currently.
Nintendo’s plans for Black Friday 2025
Nintendo’s Black Friday game sale will run from November 23-29. Here’s the full list of games we know will definitely be marked down to $29.99:
- Nintendo Switch Sports
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Paper Mario: Millennium Door Remake
- Pluto 3
- Princess Peach: It’s show time
- Donkey Kong Country returns in HD
- The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
- Luigi’s Mansion 3
- Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe
The sale of these titles will be available digitally Nintendo Online Storeas well as on digital and physical copies at participating retailers. These types of deals usually happen at places like Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart, just to name a few.
Nintendo’s plans for Cyber Monday 2025
Getting $20 off a microSD Express card is a decent Cyber Monday deal. If you buy any game digitally, you’ll probably run out of built-in storage on your Nintendo Switch 2 at some point. To add more storage, you’ll need to purchase a microSD Express card. These are different from the standard microSD cards the original Switch uses. In fact, almost no devices required microSD Express cards before the Switch 2 came out, which means that almost anyone who wants to expand their storage in the Switch 2 will have to buy a up-to-date card. So it’s nice to see an official Nintendo-branded product getting a Cyber Monday discount.
What about Switch 2 deals?
One notable omission from this announcement is the lack of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle on Nintendo Switch. For most of the Switch 1’s lifecycle, you can bet Nintendo will offer the same bundle deal on Black Friday, and you’d be right. But now that the Switch 2 is available, those carefree days are over. And unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like any Switch 2 bundle will take its place this year.
That said, while Nintendo doesn’t offer its own console discounts, it’s possible that another retailer may offer a deal on the Switch 2. With Switch 2 stock shortages ending in July, there should be plenty of hardware to go around during the holiday shopping season.
