Netflix has finally confirmed which of the unfairly pretty Bridgerton cast members you’ll be looking forward to in season 4

The fourth season of Bridgerton is on its way, and Netflix today revealed which of the many incredibly attractive cast members will be hitting the marriage market.

We knew that Bridgertons would be getting a fourth season since 2021 when the show was renewed for seasons 3 and 4, but it was unclear who would be the bachelor and who would be the bride. Season 3 was all about Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton, and Penelope Featherington, played by Nicola Coughlan, but like every season before it, each subsequent season focuses on a up-to-date member of the Bridgerton family, leaving fans of the show in suspense and hope for their favorite. And earlier today, via a miniature teaser and announcement on TumduThe streaming service confirmed that the main character of the fourth season will be Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson.

“Yes, the man who once roared from the corner of the ballroom is about to become the center of a marriage hustle as he searches for a mysterious woman called the Lady in Silver,” Tudum explains. “Season 4, as the logline goes, ‘focuses on the bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his older and younger brothers being happily married, Benedict is reluctant to settle down.’ That is, until a glamorous woman called the Lady in Silver catches Benedict’s eye at Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball. Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Colin (Luke Newton) must be proud.”

Showrunner Jess Brownwell also said she was “very excited” to be tackling Benedict’s storyline, adding, “It was important for him to explore his full self before he settles down. He’s someone who has big appetites, and we wanted him to live his life to the fullest before he goes into settling down mode.”

Thompson also shared his thoughts on the character’s upcoming story, saying, “Benedict has always been a little lost — or free, depending on your perspective. But now he’s trying to find something more solid within himself.” You can watch the trailer above, which doesn’t show much, but it does show Thompson being offered a up-to-date costume for the masquerade ball, script in hand for the upcoming season.

There is no release date yet for Bridgertons season 4, but if it ever arrives on Netflix, it will have eight episodes.
