Some of my fondest gaming memories involve tapping my toes to Yuzo Koshiro infirmed strokes as I collaborated through Sega worthies The final fight competitor. After the initial argument over who got to be Axel, you almost always formed an unequal alliance with sneaky kidney punches and outright fights to the death if your buddy taxed too many baseball bats/apples/money bags. Personally, I saved my aggression for the “bad ending” choice, where you can instead betray another vigilante cop in exchange for the mob boss’s throne.

While the basic gameplay seems familiar, certain improvements such as go-to moves, rhythm shooting, and shot timing profiles also make 2K25 more groundbreaking. MyCareer remains the most critical mode in the series, and I love the storyline of Heart of a Dynasty.
