Pathea, the creator My Time at Portia AND My time at Sandrockannounced the third game in its series of cozy life simulators. My Time at Evershine ushers in a fresh era for the series with a story-driven campaign, all-new visuals, and wildlife to tame.
My Time at Evershine promises to redefine the life simulation genre. As you can see in the trailer below, the game boasts a bold fresh artistic direction, but the changes go much deeper. In addition to the cozy life simulation elements that fans know and love from the series, there’s a deep RPG system with quests and a main storyline. Pathea aims to broaden the game’s appeal with these fresh elements, offering much more variety and multiple paths for players to choose from when it comes to progressing or finishing the game.
Your time to shine
As with previous entries, Pathea will launch Kickstarter Campaign for My Time at Evershine on September 24, 2024. You can sign up to get notifications when it launches and track every milestone it reaches. If you’re a fan of the series, you might also want to join official Discord server thanks to which you will be able to talk to the creator and learn even more about this title.
In addition to improved mechanics and a fresh vision of combining story with the cozy life simulation elements that fans are familiar with, My Time at Evershine is set to have a 40+ hour narrative. During the game, you’ll explore a enormous and immersive world, delve into city management, and of course, develop a meaningful relationship with one of many romanceable characters.
The two most striking changes in this latest installment are the larger story elements and the focus on exploration. The story has a more defined antagonist and sounds like it’ll give you more reasons to play the game every day, rather than just waiting for your potatoes to grow.
You’ll be building a fresh settlement on the outskirts of the Free Cities. This requires you to recruit settlers and slowly build an infrastructure that can sustain itself and grow before the story ends. The influence of the Duvos Empire is a monolithic opposing force, but instead of fighting them with firepower and rebellion, it sounds a lot like you’re gathering a group of people and magical creatures who simply want to exist outside of the regime.
You can play solo or in multiplayer with friends, but you’ll also recruit up to three NPCs to facilitate you out throughout the day. Each one has their own needs that you’ll need to consider as you play, and Pathea has indicated that they’re aiming for 8-10 romanceable characters. Given the fresh art direction, I can see a lot of fans getting feverishly excited My Time at Evershine‘s cast is very speedy.
Evershine is a fresh location you’ll explore in the main story of the series. It’s located between the Duvos Empire and the Free Cities Alliance. Both powers are looking to secure as much land as possible after the Duvos Empire decides to stake its claim to the Ruins of Orzu, which is where you come in. You’ll need to make Evershine a defensible position if things go south and ensure it survives for decades as the Free Cities Alliance expands.
This story is developing.
