More Astro Bot content on the way as modern Speedrun tier, bot revealed

Turns out there really are more levels of Astro Bot and Special bots along the way, just like during the PlayStation Tournaments XP event, a modern speedrun stage was revealed. You can see it in action in the tweet below:

Original story: It looks like Team Asobi is planning more content for Astro Bot, but the evidence comes from a rather unlikely place: the puzzle. After leaving PlayStation, Shuhei Yoshida remained sent a puzzle consisting of 1000 pieces the PS5 ship featured in the game and much more Special bots around him. Eagle-eyed users have now noticed that the image shows a character that is not currently in the game, suggesting that it will be possible at some point in the future.

At the top of the photo, just to the left of the Astro Bot logo, are two volcanoes. Next to them you will see Kazuya from the Tekken series fighting Heihachi. Kazuya is a reward for completion Bird dambut Heihachi is not in the game at all. The bot even includes an updated character model from its design in Astro’s Playroom, which adds more weight to the idea that it will be added in a future content update.

Astro Bots Puzzle 2

Since its launch in September 2024, the platformer has been updated with five speedrun levels and a holiday-themed level called Winter miracleall for free. With another Special Bot seemingly on the way, they’ll need to tie into another modern level in some way. WITH Game status rumored to be happening next month, an announcement of modern Astro Bot content might not be too far away.
