New location – Oil Well Basin
The oil well basin is a up-to-date place where the expedition team arrives. As the name suggests, this area is full of oil wells that periodically burst into violent flames.
Azuz, the Eternal Forge
In the Oil Basin there is a community that has settled around a vast fire forge inhabited by people skilled in the art of blacksmithing. Wait, what stories await you in Azuz.
New monsters with unique ecology to discover in the Oil Well Basin
Black Flame
A mysterious monster that the people of Azuz call the “Black Flame”.
Fang Beast, student
With a distinct, well-developed shell covering its back, Ajarakan is dynamic during the Fire Spring Oilwell Basin Falls and turns a scorching red when it rubs its shell against itself.
Brutal Wyvern, Rompopolo
A monster that inhabits areas with deep oil mud.
As you may have noticed, monsters in the Oil Basin have adapted to their changing environment with their unique ecological anatomy.
What do you think about the up-to-date trailer?
What will the hunter and expedition team witness in this area? Expect up-to-date discoveries, deeper mysteries, and a story that will expand across huge areas of the land.
What you can experience in open beta testing
The Monster Hunter Wilds open beta test consists of three elements: character creation, a story trial, and a Doshaguma hunt. Explore the Windward Plains to experience a changing ecosystem full of possibilities.
Character creation
As in the full version, character creation in the open beta allows players to choose their body type and other characteristics (body type does not affect the player’s ability to play the game). Character designs created in the open beta can be transferred to the full game (game progress will not be carried over). During the open beta, you can repeat character creation as many times as you want, so why not take the opportunity to create your favorite Hunter and Companion?
Plot Trial / Doshaguma Hunt
In the story trial where you can experience the start of the game, you will play from the beginning of the story in an uninterrupted and glossy way to defeat Chatacabra, which also includes a basic tutorial.
In Doshaguma Hunt, face the titular Doshaguma (alpha), who leads the herd.
Both tasks can be completed in multiplayer by using the SOS Flare and connecting with other players online. If players cannot gather, up to three NPC support hunters will join the hunt.
The Quest Counter, which can be accessed after speaking to Alma, the Matron, allows you to set detailed multiplayer player counts and other conditions. You can set the number of players to four, or you can call in one NPC support hunter and hunt along with the Palico, etc.
Bonus for open beta testing
By participating in the open beta, players will receive a pendant and an item pack that can be used to decorate their weapons and Seikret in the full version. These bonuses will be available as downloadable content. Enjoy decorating your weapons and Seikret in the full game on February 28.
